Baby Mushroom - Oil Painting

This tiny baby mushroom growing beneath the larger one inspired Julia's artistic sense.  She loves to transfer her love of nature to the canvas through her use of thickly applied oil paints.  All of the mushroom series are large paintings, helping capture forms that many times go unnoticed  to those who wander the mountains. She has explored the contrasting textures of these fungi, along with their geometric shapes.
