This wonderfully soft watercolor painting depicts a row of poppies and a spiderweb heavy with morning dew. With some of the flowers fading into the splash of light, the eye moves around the painting to discover the deep background that could easily be a cluster of storm clouds or a tangle of leaves. The lovely juxtaposition between the splotches of color and the thin lines of web show Julia's versatility as well as her admiration of this little natural miracle.
