It’s been another busy fall with all the art shows and the wedding of our daughter in September. Our daughter has married Mike, a wonderful man and it was a very special and beautiful day. Here are a few pictures. In keeping with tradition, I am planning a portrait of The Bride. http://juliaswartz.com/mike_amber's_wedding.htm
Some of you may have heard by now, I am opening a gallery at 17 N Prince Street in downtown
Lancaster PA. We are remodeling the space right now and hope to open in February. It is on the second floor of an old four story building. Prince Street Café is a wonderful new café on the first floor. There is a stairway to my gallery from the cafe as well as a stairwell from the street. The gallery is right across from the Fulton Theater and even though it is on the second floor, you should be able to see my art from the street in the three large windows. Prince Street is the main route south through Lancaster (Rt. 222) so we are easy to find and there is a parking lot just north of my gallery on Prince Street, and another parking lot right behind my gallery that you enter from King Street. To open a gallery has been a dream of mine for a long time and I am excited that it is about to happen. Check out pictures of the work in progress here. http://juliaswartz.com/my_future_art_gallery.htm
We are also looking forward to being Grandparents for the third time. Our son Anthony and his wife Amy are expecting another baby in early January. Seems there are lots of exciting things happening these days.
This month’s new paintings include a couple paintings that I painted earlier this year and have just now made it to the web site. I have painted several more new ones the last few weeks which will be added once the paint is dry and we can get them scanned.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
