Description
Julia has achieved an impressionistic delight in her first painting of sunflowers! She purchased the flowers at Central Market for her studio, where they intrigued her with their bright yellow-oranges, ochres and deep, soft browns. Using a palette knife, she was able to capture their bright hues in this close up view of four sunflowers from different angles. The painting attains a third dimension with thick, confident strokes and beautiful contrasting purples and blues in the background.
