Description
On a peaceful walk in the woods after a snow storm, Julia came upon this old picnic table with nine inches of snow piled up on it. She has captured the serenity of this scene with smooth palette-knife strokes thickly applied over a subtle under-painting. The beauty of the snow is shown with the pastel blues of the sky and yellows of the sunshine reflecting on it- white is never really white. The brilliant blue sky shows through the snow-covered trees in the background of this vibrant composition.
