This oil painting is one in Julia's leaf series. It is a peacock plant in a large clay pot. The leaves on this plant are very similar to the colorings on a peacock's plumage. The purple underside of the leaves complement the green tops, creating movement and life in this oil painting; life which is mirrored in a peacock.
